A very sad word,
It’s sometimes filled with regret…
If only I’d been a better daughter.
If only she would smile at me.
If he only knew…
A very sad word, indeed.
I’ve been rather melancholy as of late and If has cropped up
many times during my journeys down memory lane.
I dismiss the negative aspects of them immediately
since there is no use in regretting the past.
Saying that I have learned from them
is all well and good, but I sometimes feel we use that excuse
as an aid to dulling the pain.
The trick is finding your own way of reversing those Ifs, turning them
completely on their sides —
getting in touch with them.
I’ve discovered that one way for me to work my Ifs is
via Second Life Photography.
I’m not a great photographer, but when you are expressing
yourself, you really don’t have to be, do you?
I love texture which is why my images seem to have
more edge to them.
I also love color which I’ve said many times before.
Color & Texture.
There is only one solution…
Zibska gives me so many choices, so I am never ever bored.
For this posting I chose current sales event and
Aziza is a powerful makeup collection available now at ULTRA.
Until October 10th, you have the opportunity to transform
your mundane into gorgeous insane with Aziza’s three part system.
Her Eyemakeup palette (15 colors), Lipstick (21 colors)
and Blush (9 colors) all come with Appliers for
Lelutka, LAQ, Catwa and Omega, as well as Tattoo layers.
She satisfies my hunger for color, Aziza does.
Now, for that texture….
You probably know or knew someone called that.
But chances are she never showcased such movement as Zibska’s
hat of the same name.
With orbits that give the illusion of hat pieces breaking away,
Becky is not just a hat, but a work of art!
I am one hat-lover in heaven and if you’d like to join me,
the Mainstore is only a click away.
Color and Texture.
I’m ready to go!
Now, If only I could wear two heads to showcase all of this on….

It calls to me.
I can’t resist.
I don’t want to.
The feeling it leaves as it surrounds my heavy laden body —
— it’s worth the tempting of fate.
I think I’ve said this before, but it’s worth repeating..
…I can’t swim, ya’ll.
The thought of drowning is my third biggest nightmare
with choking to death being second and public restrooms
..there is just something miraculous about being in water that
I cannot deny. It snatches you like a villain and stows
you away just for itself — taking your attention away from everything else.
There are times when fashion has a similar affect on me.
Introducing Lyndy in Chains aka LIC — my new villainess.
I’m very proud of my fur.
It’s new to many and may take some time to get use to.
However, I’m a strong believer in the “Jump in Feet First” approach.
So, take a good look. It’s all been exposed for you thanks to
LIC’s super sexy Leather Bikini.
Let’s get something straight, okay?
Lyndy may call this bikini “Leather”,
but that’s not the extent of what it can do.
Let me break it down for you…
The HUD. OMG, the HUD!
The colors, textures, metal and individual portions
of the bikini can be changed. Believe me when I say
that the possibilities are endless!
There is Stitched, Lace, Leather, Latex, Fabric, Fur (Thanks, Lyndy!)
and Buckles (Metal).
Under each of those choices are pages of texture choices as well as a
color wheel to switch to the hue that suits you.
Now, here’s the kicker…
you can change the Bra, Panties and Pasties separately.
AND, you can even ditch the panties and pasties all together.
Have I got your attention yet?
Good, because I’m not finished….
To compliment her Bikini, Lyndy created the perfect accessory–
— the Belly Chain Jewel.
Sold separately, it comes with a Multi-color Gem HUD
and a choice of 2 Metals.
Both the Leather Bikini and Belly Chain are compatible with
most Mesh Bodies.
It’s time to take a dip on the wild side.
My Fur and I will be waiting….

The Power of Love is a curious thing
Make a one man weep, make another man sing
Change a hawk to a little white dove
More than a feeling
That’s the Power of Love
~ Huey Lewis & The News ~
When this tune first hit the airwaves back in the 80s, I was hooked!
With it’s catchy beat, I would blast it loud and hard not paying any
real attention to the song’s title….The Power of Love.
Not the weakness of love.
Not the obsessiveness of love.
Not the oh my gawd he gets on my damn ass nerves kind of love.
The Power of Love.
Diagnosed as a “powerful neurological condition”,
Love is a force which can move mountains in it’s purest form.
I’ve said it before in my entry Spiritualism and I’ll say it again…
‘Tis all about Love, Precious.
Now that you’re all warm and fuzzy,
I’d like to draw your attention to the second part of this entry’s title.
The Fashion For Change part.
Womankind Worldwide is a little known International charity,
which does profoundly important work helping to challenge discrimination,
inequality and violence towards women in the developing world.
It provides support to local women’s organizations in these countries
as they fight to improve women’s rights and the lives of women in
Africa, Asia and South America.
Fashion For Change (FFC), is a virtual world charity event sponsored by
The Best of Second Life (BOSL) and Miss Virtual World (MVW).
Open until April 25th, FFC is a fantastic two week shopping,
entertainment and high fashion spectacular designed to raise funds strictly for Womankind Worldwide.
Not into Second Life or any other virtual worlds, for that matter?
Not a problem. You still can participate.
Go directly to the Womankind site, read all about them and if you would like to support their cause, hit the yellow ‘Give a Gift’ button on the home page.
I have dedicated my time to capturing images of the exclusive designs created by well-known Second Life designers for FFC — designers who are
graciously donating 50% and more from each sale.
So, for the next several posts, I will bring to you Haute Couture along with words of encouragement as we put the Power of Love in action ♥
The world has gone amok!
Well, judging from the headlines, anyway.
“2000 geese fall dead ‘out of the sky’ in Idaho.”
“Mesa Shooting: At least six people shot, 1 killed.”
“Tunisia Gunmen Target Tourism, Killing 19 At An Art Museum.”
And would you believe this was all reported today?
It’s enough to cause panic, fear and uncertainty.
Are we safe?
Will I be next?
Don’t allow outwardly circumstances disturb your peace from within.
Regardless to what is happening in the world, we have the ability to orchestrate
our own happiness — a happiness that shines brighter than any dark cloud could ever dim.
Keep the Faith.
Keep the Hope.
Keep the Love.
Keep Your Peace ♥
(epic music begins)
“You think you have won! What is light without dark? What are you without me? I am a part of you all. You can never defeat me. We are brothers eternal!”
“Actually, that’s not true. Hate to break it to you since you are the Lord of Darkness and all, but we are all beacons of light. Sure, some of our lights are much dimmer than others, but the potential to shine bright is there and is waiting for it’s catalyst.
Oh and as far as you being indestructible….
…i love u.”
(epic music scratches to a halt)
That’s my take on how the movie Legend should have ended.
‘Course, it would have been a total flop at the box office and probably ruined Tom Cruise’s budding career.
(There is a God!)
But, the message still stands true.
We are all beacons of light and have the potential to shine bright to lighten and give strength to someone else’s day.
And guess what?
When you shine right (no forced words or fake smiles) which is from the depths of your soul, you glow naturally.
I’ve never mastered the poker face, so when I am going through some sort of pain in my life, it shows. However, my beacon, even though walled off at the time, finds it’s way through small cracks and tiny crevices shinning outward — connecting to someone who needs it.
Their face changes.
A smile of their own begins to form and because of that, for the moment,
life isn’t so hard.
Not for either of us.
