A Glow

Gem's Finds

I love how makeup can give someone a nice glow without much photo editing.  I love being able to take close ups to show nails and rings while having bento hands with great bento poses.  I think the changes since I started SL have been in leaps and bounds.  I prefer to have the new advances of SL even though the fashion world is different than it use to be.

I am showcasing some new finds that are located over at the current round of Designer Showcase.  Bento rings are also a newer feature of SL and Vida Set by Livia is perfect for everyday wear.  It is simple yet elegant and not overpowering.  DMZ always has great nail polish and the new Crispy Days Polish does not disappoint with its variant colors.  Lastly, Dulce Secrets has a new eyeshadow called Aoi Si that is at the event.  I…

Mourn

DazzleD&WKneel

It’s fascinating.
At least for me.
The “it” being how occasionally the images I create reflect
my state of being unintentionally.
It started several years back when I dreamt I was being
coddled by thorny vines.
The dream was so strong that I tried to recreate it in a Second Life image.
I did well.
Perhaps, I’ll show it to you one day.
With that said, what does the image above say to you?
Yes.
Me, too.
But, again, it wasn’t intentional.
I had resigned myself to the possibility of having to end
a very important SL relationship.
So, here I am…
kneeling before a headstone and mourning a possible
death while wearing Dark & White Store‘s Vampire Outfit.

DazzleD&WMorn

Vampire is a Maitreya Dress complete with Unrigged Scarf
and Hat — both with resizer scripts.
Just in time for the chilly nights ahead, this dark, yet eloquent combo
is at this October’s DAZZLE Event.
Hip hugging with a squared neckline, this ensemble will surely
entice the dead from their graves.

As far as my very important SL relationship?
Well, let’s just say I may be needing a brighter bouquet some day soon….

Tell The Truth

RYRDBSCabbitPoint

I’ve gained weight, haven’t I?
Should I get plastic surgery?
Does my butt look like an end table in this dress?

Loaded questions!
To whom those are addressed to, most know that to answer them straight forward is asking for an invitation to sudden death.
There is a way to tell the truth, however, without needless pain and suffering…

If you have, it’s all in the right places.
Why get a breast lift when I can hold them for you for free?
An end table should be so lucky.

BOOYAH!
You live another day.
However, come here for a second…
Does my butt look like an end table in this dress?

This dress is called Burn Orange Japanese Silk and
Designs By Soosy (DBS) is the creator.
Bright with colors bursting from it’s seams, this mini
is compatible with Belleza, Maitreya and Slink Mesh Bodies.
For the daring, panties aren’t included.
However, DBS  has included Mocca Stockings via an Omega Applier
to give your legs some umpf.

RYRPallets

As far as end tables are concerned,
Anna’s Attic has that covered with the Beats Pallet Set.
I have a long history with pallets, so sitting on Anna’s
comfy couch brought back memories.
At first, I thought this set was dubbed Beats because of
it’s use of pallets.  It’s no secret that the wooden flats
take quite a beating carrying load after load of
precious cargo.  But, that’s not what Anna had in mind.
You see, the couch has 8 single dances and 1 Couples
Sway dance included along with several sitting animations.
The DJ Turntable comes with it’s own animation allowing
you to play your tunes and rock out all at the same time.
So, the Beats part of this set’s name is in reference to the music
you’ll be bopping to while using it.
The remainder of  the set is a Pallet Table, End Table, 2 sets of Headphones
and a Neon Lava Lamp.

Both creations from DBS and Anna’s Attics can be found at Rock Your Rack.
If you haven’t heard, Rock Your Rack is a charity even for breast cancer.
Now in it’s 6th year, RYR involves 72 Designers,
features 2D/3D Artists and 3 Tribute Concerts.
Is that all?
NOPE!
Rock is also rocking it with 23 DJ Dance Parties, 12 Live Music Artist Shows, 6 Fashion Shows, the 10L Hunt and Silent Auctions.
It is an all inclusive event where there is literally something for everybody.

Beginning September 29th and lasting until October 13th,
the time has come for us to help raise money for such a
worthy cause.
You know you wanna.
Come on.
Tell the truth…..
